When Honda CR V was launched in India in 2003, no one expected it to be such a big hit. However, it surpassed the expectations even from its makers. Based on Civic platform, it has built on it, and impressively. It has a large chrome grille and headlamps which give it an attractive facelift.

Design and Interior
Cutting edge valve control technologies are behind high performance of Honda CR V. Powerful torque and excellent acceleration in city driving and highway cruising. Honda CR-V incorporates DBW (Drive-By-Wire), which provides precise, natural throttle control for smooth driving feel on acceleration and at high speeds. The car has beautifully finished four-spoke steering, a central console with very good looking HVAC dials, a chilled storage box that also stores CDs and the unique handbrake design. Comfort on both front and rear seats is best in class, and they are spacious and supportive.

Twin airbags, ABS, rear seats that recline, split and fold, a powerful air-con and massive luggage space are other strong points. The vehicle uses variable valve-timing, variable valve lift, Variable Timing Control (VTC) as well as an electronic throttle. The instrument cluster has a central speedo with a real-time electronic bar to indicate fuel consumption. Another development is the addition of electro-luminescent dials, which light up when the car is switched on
